UPDATE (Friday, June 4 at 3 p.m.)
Well friends, today was a huge day. Over two weeks, I've watched in awe as friends, family and mostly complete strangers have stepped up to support the WeLoveCHEO fundraiser. Today, our total nearly doubled thanks to a donation so generous I'm still trying to find the right words.
Thank you, Brian Alkerton, for your support, being friend's with Stuntman Stu and for donating a whopping $100,000 to the cause. As of now, we sit at nearly $218,000 for youth mental health services at CHEO.
Once again, I need to figure out a better word than "thanks", but I don't think I've ever mean that more sincerely.
P.S. Now that's were over $200K, a bunch of fun things are happening, including Katherine Dines shaving her head today. Also, prizes. Check out my Twitter feed @chrishofley and below for details on the prizes available and how to enter. Plus, make sure to tag #Simmer on Twitter with your donation for a chance to win a Saturday night at the Sens game with TSN 1200's Shawn Simpson.
Still to come: Many thanks to my OSEG family for this amazing prize pack...your choice of a REDBLACKS or 67's experience. This contest unlocks at $225,000 raised.
The below contest, courtesy of my friends at the Ottawa BlackJacks, is now unlocked:
