In 2021, you helped us raise $55,677 for childhood cancer research + care at CHEO! We are truly so, incredibly grateful for all of your support. In 2022, we hope to beat that + here is our why:
After spending two years in remission, our sweet, incredible Griff was diagnosed with relapsed Neuroblastoma in March 2021. This heroic little boy has spent the first 4 years of his life fighting. Griff was born 3 months premature + first began his fight against cancer when he was 16 months old. He is now in this battle against for a second time, he is the true definition of a superhero. This page is an effort to both fund research + help The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario provide the best care for their cancer patients. We hope that we can play a small role in changing the future of childhood cancer + other kiddos like Griff can have access to less invasive, more targeted forms of treatment. I (we) have recently learned that researchers are the closet they have ever been to developing a targeted agent that will significantly cut down chemotherapy doses in some forms of childhood cancer.. so let the research continue!
We owe all of Griff's success to the amazing people at CHEO. I (we) couldn't think of a better way to continue to give back, then by extending fundraising efforts in hopes these doctors + nurses can continue to offer the same amount of incredible care that we have and are currently receiving. We also want to help support a foundation that was so incredibly kind to us so they can continue to support so many other families
