Griffin is a bubbly seven-year-old boy with cerebral palsy. He, like many other children, benefit from the multiple services offered through Development and Rehabilitation at CHEO. He attended the CHEO School and made huge strides in his education, physical therapy and socialization through play and peer interaction. This ensured he was prepared and made the transition to community school with ease.
Griffin needs help with walking and mobility. He relies on his Trexo gait trainer to assist him. This robotic walker connects to Griffin’s legs and allows him to stand and walk. With consistent use of the Trexo, Griffin has started taking confident and independent steps while developing an awareness of his limbs and how to get where he wants to go. His family can’t wait to see Griffin use his new skills to excel in school and in life.
