Better Care Faster

Access to care is the top mental health need. We strive to have every child and youth needing non-urgent outpatient care to receive it within four weeks. We are working hard to achieve this goal through The Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA).  CAPA is an innovative program to decrease wait times and improve the mental health care CHEO delivers to patients and families. It is a system that uses methods from business to streamline service delivery, as well as empower patients and families to be the stewards of their own mental health.  Support will help CHEO reach its goal of being able to see patients for their first and second appointments within weeks, not months, to receive the most effective care possible. The most urgent need is for staff training and development of this new program.
