The Races

The RBC Race for the Kids is a 5K and 10K all terrain walk/run event in support of youth mental health programs at CHEO. All of the closed courses make their way through beautiful Wesley Clover Parks - an innovative, four-season outdoor recreation and learning hub located in the National Capital Greenbelt that encircles the City of Ottawa.

Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in the event of their choice. Routes available are 5K and 10K timed races or the fully accessible 2K Family Fun Run. Each registered participant will receive a t-shirt, a finisher’s medal and enjoy a healthy breakfast, entertainment and activities for people of all ages.

The Ottawa event has been added to a series of RBC Race for the Kids events that will take place in 14 cities in seven countries in 2017.

RBC Race for the Kids began in 2008 with the first event in New York City. Created as a platform to encourage employee engagement through corporate social responsibility, the money raised for each RBC Race for the Kids event is contributed to children and youth charities all over the world.
